Why was I charged a shipping adjustment?
  • The quotes you see are based on the shipment details entered when you book. If, upon inspection, the carrier finds the details of your shipment differ from what was originally provided—or if the carrier must provide additional services to complete pickup and/or delivery—additional charges will apply in the form of a carrier adjustment to your order.
  • If your shipment does result in added carrier fees, we’ll send you an email explaining the details of the adjusted freight rate. If you disagree with the carrier’s adjustment, you may submit a dispute online using the link in your email or by accessing the order details in your Freightquote account.
How do I cancel a shipment?

    If your cancellation request is within 8 hours of your scheduled pickup, the shipment cannot be canceled online. Instead, please contact us for support with your request.
If I cancel a shipment, when will I be refunded?

If you are cancelling the same day, most credit cards have only applied a pre-authorization. In most cases, this pending charge is removed by the following business day.

Why is my Freightquote quote different from the final price?

Your initial quote is based on the shipment details you provide—such as weight, dimensions, origin, and destination. If any of those details change or are inaccurate, carriers may apply additional charges. Common reasons for price changes include:

  • Accessorial charges: Services like liftgate delivery, residential pickup, inside delivery, or limited access locations often add extra fees.
  • Incorrect shipment details: If the actual weight or dimensions differ from what was quoted, carriers adjust the cost.
  • Reclassification: Freight class changes can impact pricing.
  • Unexpected delays or special handling: Situations like missed pickups or repackaging needs may result in added costs.

We’ll send you an adjustment email explaining the specific reason for the change, so be sure to review it for details about your shipment.

Does Freightquote offer a line of credit?
  • Yes, requesting a line of credit is quick and effortless. When booking your shipment, select the Credit Line option on the payment screen and choose Activate Credit.
  •   
  • To make the process seamless: 
    • Your account must be registered as a business. Credit isn’t available for individual users. 
    • Make sure all contact details on your account, including addresses, are tied to the business. 
    • Once you submit your request, we’ll automatically review your information. If approved, you’ll see your credit decision instantly, right on the page. No waiting, no additional steps!
